With the big day almost here, it is time to start planning your Christmas Eve and Christmas Day festivities. As one of the most popular Christmas movies of all time, you can’t go wrong with the Grinch. Jim Carrey is absolutely fantastic in his role and will increase the size of everyone’s heart in your home.

5. It’s a Wonderful Life

This classic film will always find a spot on our list. A true masterpiece that has passed the test of time. Created in 1946, It’s a Wonderful Life is still just as powerful today as it was all those years ago. Get the kleenex ready!

6. Miracle on 34th Street

Not the oldest movie on our list, but only by a single year. Miracle on 34th Street, made in 1947, is another classic film that comes with a unique story. It’s a Santa mix up that your kids won’t want to miss!


Will Ferrell does not disappoint here! This film is great for all age groups and will have your family in stitches. Elf is a comedy start to finish but it also delivers a surprisingly strong Christmas message at the same time.  

8. Scrooged

A modern telling of the classic tale of “Scrooge”- Bill Murray is a fantastic villain/hero combo. Perhaps a little dark at times for younger viewers, but by the end of this movie you will have transformed the grumpiest of scrooge’s in your home into full on Christmas fans.
